David Allen Beeler, 71, son of Walter J. and Audrey Grisham Beeler, was born Feb. 4, 1931, at Cabool. He died Sept. 1, 2002, in Springfield. He graduated from Cabool High School in 1949 and served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-’54. He married Annie Mae Wilson Aug. 10, 1954, in South Carolina. Mr. Beller graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in 1958 with a degree in music education. He taught music at Adrian and Summersville schools. After moving to Denver and Los Angeles, he was a musician with several groups and a private music teacher until retirement. After moving to Springfield in 1995, he did arrangements for and performed with the Springfield and Elks Club bands. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Sue Casterline; and one brother, Don Beeler. Surviving are his wife of the home; daughter, Rebecca Trapani of Jefferson City; one son, Steve of Palmdale, Calif.; two sisters, Audrey Ann Bridges of Battlefield and Linda Keeney of Rolla; two brothers, John of Houston and Walter R. of Chico, Calif.; and four grandsons. Services are 3 o’clock today (Thursday) at the Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. “
