Esther Gladys Widener, 83, daughter of Ace and Stella Hock Rickard, was born June 23, 1919, at Chesterfield. She died Sept. 11, 2002, at Lester E. Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. She married Fred Widener. They had two children. Surviving are her son, Harry Widener of Jerome; a daughter, Katie Lou Fincher of Linn Creek; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial services were Sept. 13 at the First Baptist Church in Edgar Springs. Burial was in the Edgar Springs Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home of Licking. “
