Eugene Everett Menscher, 83, son of John and Ida Meier Menscher, was born April 18, 1919, at Wentzville. He died Sept. 19, 2002, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston. He married Lois Winker July 6, 1952, at Belleville, Ill. They had two children. For the last 24 years they lived on a farm in the Oscar community near Licking. Mr. Menscher was a farmer, raising grain and cattle. His hobbies were hunting and fishing. He attended Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Houston until his health failed. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Wilbert. Surviving are his wife of the home; one son, Keith of Wentzville; one daughter, Kimberly Kerr of Henderson, Colo.; one brother, Sanford of Wentzville; one sister, Evelyn Menscher of Wentzville; and four grandchildren. Services were Sept. 24 at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Houston with the Rev. David Kettner officiating. Burial was in the Pine Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. “
