Janet Sweet, 49, daughter of Marion and Joy Bowman Sweet, was born Nov. 5, 1952, at Woodward, Okla. She died Sept. 7, 2002, in Springfield as a result of injuries sustained in a May 14 au-tomobile accident. She attended school at Enid, Okla., and graduated from Vici High School in 1971. At the time of her death, she was attending Drury University at Cabool, where she was on the dean’s honor roll. Ms. Sweet was a child care provider and manager of a food pantry. She also worked for a time at Shattuck Hospital. She enjoyed making crafts, reading, going to flea markets and garage sales. She was baptized as a youth and attended the Raymondville Baptist Church. She was active in Sunday school, made costumes for the church pageants and children’s pro-gram, coordinated the crafts and re-freshments for Vacation Bible School and helped with the church dinners. She was chairman of the library committee and was in the process of establishing a library for the church. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Surviving are her brother, Melvin Sweet of Vici, Okla.; and sister, Phyllis Morris of Vici, Okla. Services were Sept. 11 at the United Methodist Church in Vici, Okla., with burial in the Sunnyside Cemetery at Vici under the direction of Shaw Funeral Home of Vici, Okla. Memorial services are planned for 10 o’clock today (Thursday) at the Raymondville Baptist Church. “
