Leo L. Fry, 72, son of Marvin and Ida A. Sands Fry, was born Nov. 28, 1929, at Richland Center, Wis. He died Sept. 4, 2002, at his home near Mountain Grove follow-ing a long illness. He grew up in Wisconsin and moved to the Mountain Grove area December 1962. He married Mary Lou Sanders Brewer Oct. 8, 1964, at Mountain Grove. Mr. Fry was an avid outdoors-man, hunting elk and deer. He en-joyed gunsmithing, playing the guitar and singing country-western music. In his younger days, he en-joyed going to rodeos. He was a member of the New Rock Springs Church in Texas County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James “”Dick”” Fry. Surviving are his wife of the home; his children, Sandra Gabbert of Rogersville, Tabitha Brewer of Arlington, Texas, Mark Fry of Houston, Scott Fry of Mountain Grove and Elaine Pendergraff of New Port Richey, Fla.; one brother, Marvin “”Bud”” Fry of Milwaukee, Wis.; two sisters, Betty Maleshafske of Milwaukee, Wis., and Doris Lynch of Tulsa, Okla.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Services were Sept. 7 at the New Rock Springs Church with the Rev. Ralph Douglas and the Rev. David Leighty officiating. Burial was in the Rock Springs Cemetery under the direction of Craig-Hurtt-Bradley Funeral Home of Mountain Grove. “
