Ethel Deliah Halley, 96, daughter of Abner Martin and Mary Louella Haney Stockstell, was born Aug. 2, 1906, at Houston. She died Nov. 2, 2002, at Houston House, where she had been a resident for several years. Mrs. Halley spent her lifetime in Houston, where she was a cook at Harris Cafe for many years. She enjoyed visiting with her friends while serving and cooking the meals. She cared for her father while he was ill. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are nieces and nephews. Services were Nov. 6 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wesley Wallace officiating. Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery. “
