GEARLDINE EVANS

Gearldine Marie Evans, 77, one of 12 children of Cecil and Anna Rainey, was born Jan. 7, 1925, at Mill Creek. She died Nov. 8, 2002, at Bakersfield, Calif. She loved to cook large meals for her family and had an incredible will to live despite complications from diabetes. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Wayne. Surviving are her daughter, Debra Lemburg of Bakersfield, Calif.; her son, Eddie Evans of Raymondville; her sisters, Irene Tesearu, Anna Mae Chapman, Etta Wray, Lillian Johnson, Marie Whittaker and Norma Tripp; her brothers, John Rainey, Willard Rainey, Carl Rainey and Roy Rainey; six grand-children and two great-grandchildren. Services are 11 o’clock today (Thursday) at Hoffman and Wilson Funeral Home in Fredricktown with burial at Marcus Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. “
