Lewis P. Barker, 89, son of William Riley Barker and Mary Jane Jacobs Barker, was born Nov. 24, 1913, at Sobel, Okla. He died Nov. 24, 2002, at Integris Southwest Medical Center at Oklahoma City, Okla. He married Emy Lee “”Janie”” Thompson Dec. 15, 1934, at New Edinburg, Ark. A former Licking resident, he was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Moore, Okla. He enjoyed reading, playing dominoes and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years; his parents; two sisters and seven brothers. Surviving are one daughter, Willie Jean Deeds of Moore, Okla.; two sons, Charles Berton Barker of Licking and Robert Lewis Barker of Oak Park, Calif.; two brothers, Leonard Alvin Barker and Quincy Daniel Barker of Lewiston, Idaho; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grand-children. Graveside services are 1 o’clock today (Wednesday) at the Licking Cemetery with the Rev. Max Courtney officiating under the direc-tion of Evans Funeral Home of Houston. “
