Reta Rosealma Brown, 63, daughter of Troy Reeves and Alma Johnson Reeves, was born March 1, 1939, at Hanford, Calif. She died Nov. 24, 2002, at her home in Houston. She married Gerald Brown of Houston. Mrs. Brown was tax collector for the City of Houston. She attended Ozark Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and Awana leader. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Steven Cook of Nipomo, Calif., and Michael Bobb of Ventura, Calif.; one daughter, Kimber Norcutt of Lompoc, Calif.; two stepchildren, Mindy Carpenter of Poway, Calif., and Terri Ann Maude of Woodstock, Ga.; two sisters, Barbara McCormick of Stafford and Gail Mitchell of Marysville, Calif.; and her stepmother, Bety Reeves of Lompoc, Calif. Services were Nov. 29 at the Ozark Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed Hamilton officiating. Burial was in the Pine Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. “
