Garry R. Mansfield, 55, son of Earl Frank and Betty Faye Mitchell Mansfield, was born March 17, 1947, at Coldwater. He died Dec. 14, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He married Amelia Peters Oct. 15, 1993, at Paducah, Ky. Mr. Mansfield worked for Chrysler Corp. in Belvidere, Ill., and in St. Louis for 18 years as a supervisor. For nine years, he was a gear cutter at Dana Corp. He owned and operated Oak Hill Garage at Houston for seven years. Surviving are his wife of the home at Cape Girardeau; three sons, Stacy W. Mansfield of Jackson, David Mansfield of San Clemente, Calif., and Ronnie Maxwell of Cape Girardeau; four daughters, Chantelle Mansfield Pratt of Avalon, Wis., Wendy Koenig of Perryville and Chandra Mansfield and Bessie Blue Harley of Cape Girardeau; his mother of Houston; two brothers, Dennis and Perry Mansfield of Houston; two sisters sisters, Frankie Topping of Houston and Marilyn Schultz of Houston, Texas; and five grandchildren. Memorial services were Dec. 17 at the Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel at Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. “
