Michael Ray Wells, 41, only son of Raymond and Joan Beasley Wells, was born June 17, 1961. He died Dec. 9, 2002. He graduated from Licking High School in 1979 and from Linn Tech in 1981 with a degree in drafting. He worked several jobs in the drafting field and later moved back to Licking to be near his family. He went to cosmetology school and opened a salon, where he worked for many years. He also worked for Wal-Mart for a time. Mr. Wells was a member of the Boone Creek Baptist Church. He was creative, working with his hands to design and build with wood. He made lawn furniture, birdhouses and other wood crafts. He was unique in his creations and designs, landscaping his yard, painting wood crafts and collecting cars. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Zeno and Alberta Wells and Roscoe and Edith Beasley. Surviving are his parents. Services were Dec. 14 at the Boone Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Allen Raynor officiating. Burial was in the Boone Creek Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the America Diabetes Association. “
