Vivian Ida Davis, 88, daughter of Newton and Lucy Cotton Martin, was born Nov. 8, 1914, near Oscar. She died Dec. 13, 2002, at Salem Memorial District Hospital. She worked 26 years for A & P Tea Co. After retiring, she moved to Licking, where she lived for many years. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Elmer Eckert and Guy Davis; and a brother, Russell Martin. Surviving are her sister, Alice Edwards of Licking; and a special friend and companion, Frank Schafer of Salem. Services were Dec. 15 at the Fox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Poole officiating. Burial was in the Williams Cemetery. “
