Doris Marie Brooks Satterfield, 62, daughter of Earl Columbus Brooks and Mary Matilda Modglin Brooks, was born March 17, 1941, at St. Louis. She died Dec. 31, 2003, after a long battle with cancer. She married Wilmer Ray Satterfield Nov. 15, 1958. They had two children. She loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, gardening and taking care of her flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents; an infant sister, Alberta Brooks; two brothers, Junior Brooks and Cledis Brooks; and her stepmother, Helen Brooks. Surviving are her husband; son, Clifford Satterfield of Licking; daughter, Tammy Sullins of Licking; one sister, Dorothy Schwartz; a stepbrother, Walter Acord of Salem; four grandchildren. Services were Jan. 3 at the Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Noel Mooney officiating. Burial was in the Boone Creek Cemetery. “
