Donald Lee Smith, 67, son of Thomas Leslie Smith and Hattie Lynn Martin Smith, was born Dec. 16, 1936, at Cabool. He died Jan. 7, 2004, at the Missouri Baptist Hospital at Sullivan. He married Noveta Holden Aug. 31, 1959, at Houston. They were married 44 years and had three children. Mr. Smith served in the Air Force from March 6, 1959, to March 5, 1965. He attended the Oak Hill Free Will Baptist Church and was a member of the American Legion, Eagles and the UAW Local 2250. He worked on the assembly line at General Motors in St. Louis for 27.75 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Allen Lee Smith; one sister, Joyce Lucille Price; one brother, Carl Eugene Smith; and a grandson. Surviving are his wife of the home at St. Clair; his children, Donna Warren of St. Clair and Jerry Smith of Gerald; four sisters, Eva Lewis, Betty Hill and Bonnie Lewis of Licking and Maxine Leggett of Ozark; two brothers, Jim Smith and Wayne Smith of Licking; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services were Jan. 11 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel in Summersville with the Rev. Leroy Bryant officiating. Burial with full military rites was in the Antioch Cemetery at Hartshorn. “
