Lillie M. Foster, 77, daughter of Dewey and Pearl McGowen Long, was born May 5, 1926, at Augusta, Ark. She died Jan. 21, 2004, at her home near Houston following a lengthy illness. She spent most of her life in this area, where she was a beautician. She loved to play cards, take care of her home and family and work in her flowers and yard. She last worked at the Houston Donut Shop. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Johnny B. Chappell; her second husband, George Foster; an infant brother; two sisters, Minnie Cogburn and Irene Foster; and a great-granddaughter. Surviving are her daughter, Shirley Alcorn of Shirley, Ark.; one sister, Lucille Foster of Licking; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Services were Jan. 24 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wesley Wallace officiating. Burial was in the Pine Lawn Cemetery. “
