Edison A. Whitson, 86, son of Alonzo M. and Martha Louella Whitson, was born June 9, 1917, at Houston. He died March 11, 2004, from complications from pneumonia. He married Georgia Sparks. They were married 55 years before her death in September 2001. Mr. Whitson, a former resident of Cabool, retired in 1980 from All-Star Dairy. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are one daughter, Rhonda Hendricks; one son, Edison R.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Memorial services were March 16 under the direction of Charter Funerals in Merriam, Kan. “
