HUGH HALL

Hugh C. Hall, 71, was born Jan. 15, 1933, at Copperhall, Va. He died April 6, 2004, at Harry S Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard a submarine before moving to Chicago. He married Carol Harms June 3, 1966. They lived outside Chicago for several years and for a year at Lakeland, Fla., before settling in Crestwood, Ill., for 27 years. He retired in 1999 after working as a body and fender repair technician for 44 years. The Halls retired to Beulah. Mr. Hall enjoyed water skiing, boating, camping, gardening, rodeos, inventing and building things, coffee at Texaco and helping anyone in need. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Sheri Richer of Sheridan, Ill., and Janet Bowe of Falcon; three brothers, Willard, Carl Lewis and Junior of Virginia; one sister, Janet Gunn of Virginia; and three grandchildren. Services were April 9 at the Fox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Floyd officiating. The body was cremated. “
