Faun Eugene Jackson, 73, son of Faun Elbridge Jackson and Ruby L. Sterner Jackson, was born Feb. 23, 1931, at Waterloo, Iowa. He died May 4, 2004, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston. He graduated from Licking High School and married Verna Dean Hill Dec. 31, 1948, at Salem, Ark. They had seven children. The Jacksons moved to St. Louis, where Mr. Jackson worked for Laclede Gas Co. for more than 30 years. They later moved to Licking, where he worked on numerous projects in the yard, helping his family, a friend in need, never knowing a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Hazel Lea Jackson, and a granddaughter. Surviving are his wife of the home at Licking; his children, Sherry Jackson, Larry Jackson, Faun E. Jackson Jr., Bill Jackson and Michael K. Jackson of Licking, Peggy Payne of St. Louis and Linda Tannini of Edgar Springs; two brothers, Jack Jackson and Jerry Jackson of Licking; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services were May 6 at the United Methodist Church in Licking with the Rev. Gary Carter officiating. Burial was in the Licking Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home. “
