Fred Raymond Bradford, 76, son of Richmond Bradford and Mary Ann Pruitt, was born Nov. 5, 1927, at Clear Springs. He died May 9, 2004, at Bentwood Care Center at Florissant. He spent his early life in the Clear Springs community. He married Leona Marie Sevedge Nov. 9, 1948. They had three children. After his marriage, the Bradfords moved to St. Louis, where he operated a service station for 25 years and did carpentry work for the last years. Mr. Bradford was a veteran of World War II. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gilbert; sister, Pauline Lee; and a grandson. Surviving are his wife of St. Ann; two daughters, Joann Schlueter of Hazelwood and Kathy Wortham St. Ann; son, Danny Bradford of Maryland Heights; one brother, Dale Bradford of Clear Springs; four sisters, Ellen Crouch of Dallas Center, Iowa, Genevie Hill of Springfield, Louise Cox of West Plains and Marie Bell of Mountain View; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services were May 13 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Emmitt Bradford officiating. Burial was in the Tyrone Cemetery. “
