Juanita Wolfe Garrett, 83, daughter of Tom Wolfe and Fannie Bray Wolfe, was born Aug. 17, 1920, at Plato. She died May 25, 2004, at her home in Houston. She married Lewis Gorrell. They had three children. After the death of her husband, following World War II she married Delmar Garrett. They had five children. Mrs. Garrett attended the Bucyrus Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. She spent most of her life in the Success area, where she raised her family. After her children were grown, she worked part-time outside the home and was a volunteer for the Texas County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, family get-togethers and fishing and was a member of the Bucyrus Community Club. In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruby Kimrey; an infant brother and a great-grandson. Surviving are eight daughters, Bettie Kell, Ruby Richardson and Beverly Green of Success, Evelyn Galligher of Centralia, Barbara Willson of Bucyrus, Bonnie Warner of Springfield, Donna Taylor of Licking and Dolores Warner of Houston; one brother, Kenneth Wolfe of Plato; 20 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Services were May 28 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brock Davis officiating. Burial was in the Emory Cemetery. “
