Thomas “”Tom”” Edward Cantrell, 66, son of David “”Pete”” and Fay Webber Cantrell, was born Feb. 25, 1938, at the family home near Licking. He died May 31, 2004, at Corie Manor Nursing Home at Fenton. He married Henerita Barks Oct. 10, 1957, at St. Louis. They had two children. Mr. Cantrell was head groundskeeper at a golf course in St. Louis until illness forced his retirement. He became a member of the Church of Christ in Licking at an early age. He loved fishing and outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother and his sister, Gloria Jackson. Surviving are his children, Jeffery Thomas of Rolla and Sherri Lynn McVay of Spring Hill, Kan.; their mother, Henerita of Spring Hill, Kan.; three sisters, Doris Jennings Fowler of Washington, Mo., Glenda Meyers of Muskegon, Mich., and Patsy Zeollneh of Fenton; four brothers, David of Reno, Nev., Vernon of Houston, Leonard of Tallahassee, Fla., and Larry of St. Louis; and four grandchildren. Services were June 4 at the Church of Christ in Licking with Larry Tubbs officiating. Burial was in the Licking Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home of Houston. “
