Clark Rogers, 86, son of Hub and Clara Patterson Rogers, was born Feb. 3, 1918, near Licking. He died June 4, 2004, at Licking Park Manor due to complications following a stroke. He lived most of his life in the Licking area. As a boy, he loved to read, attend school and work with his parents on the family farm. He married Wanda King Jan. 17, 1953. They had five children. Mr. Rogers enjoyed spending time with his family, visiting with friends and was an avid reader. He like horses and owned them and ponies throughout his life. He recently accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by his parents and a great-granddaughter. Surviving are his wife of the home near Licking; one son, Bruce Rogers of Licking; four daughters, Brenda Gorman of Licking, Katie Whitson and Cindy Million of Springfield and Treva Satterfield of Salem; two sisters, Eula Creech of Licking and Marie Garrison of Mansfield; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services were June 8 at the Fox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eugene Maxey officiating. Burial was in the Patterson Cemetery near Licking. “
