William Ray Garrett, 63, son of Monroe and Cleva Good Garrett, was born Oct. 7, 1940, at the family home in the Upton community. He was found dead July 17, 2004, at his home at Bucyrus.Mr. Garrett was a member of the Hickory Ridge Baptist Church.He loved his dog, Snowball, helping people and working in his garden and flowers.He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Hagar.Surviving are two sisters, Imogene Sutton of Wolfe Lake, Ill., and Laura Jackson of Success; and one brother, Eugene of Ellis Prairie.Memorial services were July 20 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dewayne Weber officiating. Following cremation, burial will be in the Emory Cemetery.Memorials may be made to the Hickory Ridge Baptist Church. “
