Elma Hazel Bohannon, 96, daughter of Thomas and Alice Sutton Hamrick, was born Nov. 4, 1907, near Plato. She died Aug. 15, 2004, at Lester E. Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.She married Thomas Jefferson Crabtree April 7, 1925. They had three children. Mr. Crabtree died in 1971.She lived most of her life in St. Louis. Along with being a homemaker, she worked at Drug Package Co. for more than 40 years.She married Aubrey Bohannon. He also preceded her in death.Mrs. Bohannon moved to Marionville in December 2003 due to ill health to be near her son.She was an active member of the United Pentecostal Church in St. Louis.In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Kenneth Edward Crabtree and Lois Evelyn Crabtree; two brothers, Jasper Hamrick and Benton Hamrick; and two sisters. Legola Bolding and Althea Wade.Surviving are one son, Melvin Rex Crabtree of Billings; one brother, Lawrence Hamrick of Houston; and two sisters, Zelda Yarnell of Stockton and Lura Jones of Indiana; and one grandson.Graveside services were Aug. 18 at the Mount Pisgah Cemetery with the Rev. Curtis Yarnell officiating under the direction of Evans Funeral Home of Houston. “
