Clarence Edward Davenport, 78, son of John and Opal Davis Davenport, was born Aug. 5, 1926, at Success. He died Sept. 17, 2004, at Warrensburg following a lengthy illness.He married Fern Sillyman April 18, 1951. They had three children.Mr. Davenport served in the Army during World War II.He was preceded in death by his parents.Surviving are his three children, Larry Davenport and Claralene Pospisil of Sedalia and Jerry Davenport of Utah; one brother, Kenneth Davenport of Houston; five sisters, Nina Hargis of Dixon, Violet Herndon of Houston, Shirley Gunter, Lovella Gunter and Georgina Richards of Success; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Memorial services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at the Success Baptist Church with the Rev. Ted Moore and Gary Davenport officiating. Memorials may be made to the Success Baptist Church. “
