David Earl McAdams, 77, son of Earl and Lucille McAdams, was born Sept. 27, 1926, at Marshall. He died Sept. 26, 2004, at his home at Summersville.He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On his return, he worked with and traded livestock. He worked for the Chevrolet Corp. for many years in St. Louis. He took an early retirement and returned to Summersville to work for the ambulance service for 15 years before he fully retired.He married Wanda Jean Holland June 12, 1948, at Mountain View. They had three children.Mr. McAdams was a member of the First Baptist Church in Summersville, where he was Sunday School director and a deacon.He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Lucy Summers and Iona Roark.Surviving are his three children, David Michael McAdams and Sandra Jean Smith of Summersville and Dennis Lee McAdams of Foristell; two brothers, Elmer McAdams of Alton, Ill., and Joel McAdams of Sardis, Miss.; one sister, Velma Sellers of South Haven, Miss.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.Services were Sept. 29 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel in Summersville with the Rev. Tommy Boyd and the Rev. Rick Purcell officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery. “
