Ina Hunter Gaston, 88, daughter of Lucian and Ruth Stevenson Hunter, was born May 18, 1916, at Summersville. She died Sept. 23, 2004, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis.She graduated from Summersville High School in 1935 and taught at Laidley, Pine Flat, Oak Ridge, Big Creek and Eunice.She married Frank Gaston Dec. 19, 1939. They had one daughter.The Gastons moved to St. Louis in the spring of 1942. Mrs. Gaston was an accountant clerk for Emerson Electric for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Friedens Chapel United Church of Christ.She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, an infant and Irma Gaston.Surviving are her husband of St. Peters; daughter, Donna Miller of O’Fallon; two sisters, Leora Hubbs of Washington, Mo., and Aleda Hubbs of Richland, Wash.; one brother, Carl Hunter of Houston; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.Services were Sept. 27 at the Styger Funeral Chapel in St. Peters with burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. “
