Leonard W. Bryant, 86, son of William and Martha Ingold Bryant, was born Feb. 13, 1918, in the Pine Flat community south of Cabool. He died Sept. 9, 2004, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield after a sudden illness.He started working at age 9 on a milk route. He later did farm work, saw milling and machine work.He married Maderine Durnell April 28, 1945. They had a mechanic shop for more than a decade in Cabool. In 1961, they moved to a dairy farm at Licking. They retired in 1992 and moved to Cabool.Mr. Bryant lived in Mountain Grove for several years before returning to Cabool in January.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in November 1992; and siblings, Charlie, Walter, Bertha, Pearl, John, Earl, Albert, Violet, Willis and Carl.Surviving are great-nieces and nephews.Services were Sept. 11 at the Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home Chapel in Cabool with George Earl Bryant officiating. Burial was in the Cabool Cemetery. “
