Charles Eldon Stark, 56, son of Virgil Norvin and June Nadine Clark Stark, was born Feb. 21, 1948, at Houston. He died Oct. 6, 2004, at his home at Houston.He grew up in the Houston area and graduated from Houston High School in 1966.He enlisted in the U.S. Army June 26, 1968. He served in Vietnam and received the Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge and Marksman (rifle) Badge. He was honorably discharged June 25, 1970.He returned to Houston, where he worked as an auto mechanic. He had a wide knowledge of cars and was known as one of the best auto body men.He loved to hunt and fish and roller skate. He was preceded in death by his parents.Surviving are his four children, Sharon Steadman of Cedar Hill, Amanda Stark of Fulton, Charles Stark Jr. of the home and Loretta King of Rolla; one brother, Ray Stark of Houston; five sisters, Christina Cooper, Erma Tyree and Marlene Neal of Houston, Sherry Mahurin of Kirksville and Sue Hodges of Norwood; and six grandchildren.Graveside services were Oct. 9 at the Oak Hill Cemetery with Chaplain Belva Tarrant officiating under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. “
