Eva May L’Heureux Swearengin, 37, daughter of Maurice and Evie May Huestis L’Heureux, was born March 24, 1967, at Price, Utah, the day after her mother’s birthday. She died Oct. 6, 2004, at her home in Houston following an illness of several months.The L’Heureux family lived in Ferran, Utah, and moved several times, locating in Houston in the spring of 1979. Eva started the seventh grade at Houston that fall and graduated in 1985 from Houston High School.She married her high school sweetheart, Kent Swearengin, Jan. 1, 1987. They had three children.The Swearengins moved several times to finish their schooling. They settled in Houston to raise their children.Mrs. Swearengin graduated from Southwest Missouri State University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She was a teacher’s aide at the Houston Schools and was looking forward to the day she would have her own class of students.She loved teaching, art and music and was baptized in the Christian church.Surviving are her husband of the home; three children, Trevor, Travis and Kelli of the home; her father of Kennan, Wis.; mother of Iron River, Wis.; four brothers, Eric L’Heureux of Piedmont, Harold L’Heureux and Ernest L’Heureux of Iron River, Wis., Daniel L’Heureux of Port Wing, Wis.; a half brother, Aaron L’Heureux of Kennan, Wis.; five sisters, Doris Jensen of Clawson, Utah, Amy Colby of Maple, Wis., Sandra Dorothy of Richland and Judy Pounds and Pamela Brown of Houston.Services were Oct. 9 at the First Christian Church in Houston with Bob Martin, Jeff Moore and Randle Scheets officiating. Burial with Harry Hayes officiating was in the Central Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. “
