Gladys Golden Watson, 95, daughter of Charles Vernon Scurlock and Betty May Elliott Scurlock, was born Sept. 12, 1909, at Roby. She died Oct. 13, 2004, at the home of her daughter, Pauline.She married William Henry Watson Oct. 2, 1926. They had four daughters.Mrs. Watson accepted Jesus as her savior in 1956.She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; four brothers, Leslie, Bill, Jess and Wayne; two daughters, Dolly May and Ruby Marie; and three grandchildren.Surviving are two daughters, Dora Lipe and Pauline Taylor; seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.Services were Oct. 16 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Raymond Sykes and the Rev. David Meade officiating. Burial was in the Long Hollow Cemetery. “
