Elvis Eulas Longwell, 83, son of William and Julia C. Carder Longwell, was born Sept. 18, 1921, at Houston. He died Nov. 18, 2004, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield following a massive stroke.He grew up and attended school in the Houston area. He moved north of Mountain Grove to the Green Mountain area in 1958. He was a dairy farmer most of his life and bought and sold real estate for the last 15 years.He enjoyed being outdoors, especially tending his cattle and farm. He liked playing pool and poker and visiting with friends.Surviving are his eight children, Robin Longwell and Jeanie Longwell of Louisville, Ky., Frank Longwell of Mountain Grove, William David Longwell and Lisa Longwell O’Neil of Clarksville, Ind., Diana Longwell Casper of New Albany, Ind., Larry Longwell of St. Louis and Juanita Longwell of Cuba, Mo.; two brothers, Richard Longwell and Robert Longwell of Mountain Grove; three sisters, Rhodafern Biggers, Emmajean Raney and Lucy Harms of Mountain Grove; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Graveside services were Nov. 20 at the Green Mountain Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Flint officiating under the direction of Craig-Hurtt-Bradley Funeral Home. “
