Minnie Frances Stewart Berst, 91, daughter of George and Lucy Stewart, was born May 10, 1913, at Raymondville. She died Nov. 19, 2004, after an auto accident in Phoenix, Ariz.She attended school in the Raymondville area and married Dan Quick. They had one son, Leo Quick.She later married Lee Berst. They moved to Phoenix and for many years operated a wrecking yard at West Van Buren Acres.Mrs. Berst was active in the Assembly of God and liked helping people and doing things for them. She spent the last 65 years in Phoenix.She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Stewart and Elma Clover; and five brothers, John, Henry, Arvil, Leo and Carl Stewart.Surviving is one sister, Opal Clover of Raymondville; four grandsons, four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.Graveside services were Nov. 24 at the Resthaven Park Cemetery with Frank Evans officiating under the direction of Greer-Wilson Funeral Home of Phoenix. “
