Del A. Totten, 90, son of David Arch and Lola Riley Totten, was born Jan. 5, 1914, at Houston. He died Dec. 27, 2004, at Westwood Retirement Resort at Fort Walton Beach, Fla.He graduated from Houston High School in 1933 and joined the Civilian Conservation Corps, where he obtained his medical training.During his time in Texas County, he farmed and was pastor of several community churches.He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, first as a medic and then as a tail gunner in the B-26s. He was in the second wave on D-Day, surviving the crash of his plane.He married Genevieve Rush in 1937, sharing 60 years together.He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, wife; one son, Michael; one granddaughter and one great-grandson.Surviving are two sons, Ron of Largo, Fla., and Doug of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; one daughter, Rebecca Fortuer of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; and one sister, Mary Adams of Houston.Private services and burial will be at a later date. “
