Elva Cora Wallace, 87, daughter of Matt and Elizabeth Barnett Brewington, was born March 22, 1917, at Summersville. She died Dec. 17, 2004, at the Kabul Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.She grew up in the Summersville area and lived in Texas County most of her life.She married Henry Stark. They had seven children.She later married Arvil Wallace. He died in 1995.Mrs. Wallace enjoyed quilting, using paints to make the blocks.She attended the Brown Hill Baptist Church as long as her health permitted.In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Charles Eugene Stark.Surviving are five daughter, Jewell Dewitt Elliott, Lois Shelley, Marie McCartney and Judy Smith of Cabool and Christina James of Lathrop; two sons, Gary Stark of Cabool and Russell Stark of Fairfax; 18 grandchildren, a host of great- and great-great-grandchildren.Services were Dec. 20 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wesley Wallace officiating. Burial was in the Friendship Cemetery. “
