Lindsey A. Hildebrand, 83, son of William and Sadie Hildebrand, was born May 13, 1921, at Evening Shade. He died Dec. 5, 2004.He served in the Army during World War II and was a survivor of the Normandy Invasion and the European Theater. He was honorably discharged December 1945 and moved to Bakersfield, Calif.He married Betty Lou Goree June 20, 1947.Mr. Hildebrand worked for Standard Oil Co., driving a truck for more than 30 years.Surviving are his sons, Charles Hildebrand and Kenneth Hildebrand; daughter, Mary Plymale; sisters, Pearl Pruett, Thelma McDowell and Lela Smith Hemingway; brother, Lorin Hildebrand; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.Services were Dec. 10 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bakersfield, Calif. Burial was in the Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Kern River Family Mortuary of Bakersfield, Calif. “
