Maude Dunlap, 91, daughter of August Lens Williams and Kate Fry Williams, was born Feb. 2, 1913, at Degonia in Reynolds County. She died Dec. 25, 2004, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.Most of her school years were spent in Eminence where her father owned a general store.She married Wayne Dunlap Nov. 18, 1928. They shared almost 69 years of marriage and had two sons.Mrs. Dunlap was active in the City of Licking. She was a hairdresser for more than 50 years, was a past worthy matron of the Eastern Star and a long-time member of the Tuesday Club and the Wednesday Club. She served one term on the Missouri State Board of Cosmetology.She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Licking and was honored at the church’s 150th anniversary in October as one of the two oldest members of the church.Mrs. Dunlap had many projects with her sewing, knitting, crocheting, crafts, dolls and making things for her daughters-in-law.She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997; a great-grandson and eight siblings.Surviving are her sons, Bill of Covina, Calif., and Jerry of St. Louis; two sisters, Eveline Cox of Eminence and Roselle Kennon of St. Louis; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.Services are 10 o’clock today (Thursday) at the First Baptist Church in Licking with the Rev. Noel Hutchings and Dr. Wilbur Mobley officiating. Burial will be in the Licking Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral of Licking. “
