Yvette “”Eve”” Palmer, 67, daughter of Ovid and Rita Carpentier, was born May 15, 1937, at Southbridge, Mass. She died Jan. 17, 2005.She married Jeramiah Hazlett in 1954. They had seven children. Their second child, a daughter, preceded her in death.Her marriage ended in divorce in January 1970.She met Charles Palmer in 1972 in Colorado. In 1973, they traveled to his native Missouri and were married Dec. 5, 1973, in Lebanon.The Palmers moved to Houston in 1997 and fell in love with the town and its friendliness, especially the residents of Hamrick Terrace.She loved to do craft work, crocheting and sewing. She won several blue ribbons at the Texas County Fair for her crocheted gowns for Barbie dolls.Surviving are her husband of the home in Houston; her children, Paulette Sanders of Warrenton, David Hazlett of Yulee, Fla., Diana Douglas of St. Clair, Brian Hazlett of Jacksonville, Fla., Daniel Hazlett of Lakeland, Fla., and Thomas Hazlett of Wright City; one brother, Richard Carpentier of Hawaii; and one sister, Jeanne Laschapel of Dudley, Mass.Graveside services were Jan. 20 at the Pine Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Wesley Wallace officiating under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. “
