Norma Lea Burch Hutsell, 74, daughter of Orval and Alta Burch, was born Jan. 5, 1931, at Bado. She died Jan. 28, 2005 at Westview Nursing Home in Derby, Kan.She graduated in 1948 from Houston High School and attended Southwest Missouri State University. She taught at the Logan and Freely Give schools in the Bado area for four years.She traveled extensively in the southwestern states with her family in heavy construction on contract with the U.S. Government. She settled in the Wichita, Kan., area, where she was a beautician, owning and operating Boulevard Plaza Beauty Shop for many years. She served on the Kansas State Board of Cosmetology.She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Rodney; and one sister, Wilma Kelly.Surviving are one sister, Velma Pierce of Kansas City; two brothers, Olen Burch of Bado and Vernon Burch of Kansas City.Services were Jan. 31 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Emery officiating. Burial was in the Bado Cemetery. Dallas Keith CookDallas Keith Cook, stillborn son of Travis and Dana Lea Wolfe Cook, was born Jan. 28, 2005, at Lester E. Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.In addition to his parents, surviving are his maternal grandparents, Rebecca and Dennis Wolfe of Plato; and paternal grandparents, Kenny and Bonnie Cook of Mansfield.Graveside services with the Rev. Wesley Wallace officiating were Feb. 1 at the Mount Pisgah Cemetery at Plato under the direction of Evans Funeral Home of Houston. “
