John Robert “”Bob”” Proctor, 71, youngest son of Ralph and Pauline Proctor, was born March 30, 1933, at Braymer. He died Feb. 22, 2005, at the Bothwell Regional Health Center at Sedalia.He married Ruth Zwygart May 20, 1951, at Chillicothe. They moved in 1969 to Lincoln.Mr. Proctor was a trucker. His career included owning and operating an International dealership in Chillicothe. After moving to Lincoln, he was employed by MFA Implement. For the last 14 years, he drove for Ditzfeld Transfer of Sedalia as an owner-operator.He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of American Legion Post 305 of Cole Camp, Breckenridge Masonic Lodge #334 AF and AM, the St. Joseph Orient Valley of the Scottish Rite, the Chillicothe York Rite, Moila Shrine Temple, the Warsaw Shrine Club and the Lincoln United Methodist Church.He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, George Proctor.Surviving are his wife of the home; three daughters, Catherine Hunt of West Plains, Jean Hesse of Cole Camp and Karen Plott of Carl Junction; one son, Kenneth Proctor of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, Doyle Proctor of Braymer; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.Services were Feb. 26 at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln with the Rev. Donald J. Allcorn and the Rev. Barbara Starr officiating. Graveside services were at the Braymer Evergreen Cemetery.Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Crippled Children’s Fund in care of Davis-Miller Funeral Home, P. O. Box 400, Lincoln, Mo. 65338. “
