Cecil Franklin Jones, 85, son of Caleb and Lizzie Fields Jones, was born March 6, 1919, at Fort Worth, Texas. He died Feb. 19, 2005, at his home at Summersville.He grew up in the Fort Worth area, attending school there.He joined the U.S. Army Dec. 12, 1944, serving during World War II stationed in Manila and Japan. He received the Bronze Service Star and Luzon Campaign medals, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Ribbon, World War II Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was discharged April 6, 1946.He returned to Fort Worth and began work for the Fort Worth School District as custodian, retiring July 31, 1979.He married Clara Seefeldt in 1954. They lived in the Fort Worth area until moving to Summersville in 1993.Mr. Jones enjoyed woodworking and hunting and fishing in the Ozark hills.He was preceded in death by his parents.Surviving are his wife of the home; one brother, Robert Jones of Palestine, Texas; and one sister, Mary Lois.Services were Feb. 23 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Jackson officiating. Burial was in the Big Creek Cemetery. Elizabeth GladdenElizabeth L. Gladden, 92, died Feb. 20, 2005, in Tallahassee, Fla., where she had lived since 2001.A native of Mayfield, Ky., she was a long-time resident of Rolla and was a retired high school administrative assistant.While living in Tallahassee, she was a visitor to Thomasville Road Baptist Church and Fellowship Baptist Church. She participated in the activities at the senior center.She was preceded in death in 1985 by her husband, James Mack Gladden.Surviving are her son, Jim Gladden of Tallahassee, Fla.; three brothers, George Wilson and Jack Wilson of Paducah, Ky., and Aubrey Wilson Jr. of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.Services are today (Thursday) at Bevis Funeral Home Chapel in Tallahassee, Fla. Burial will be in the Pine Lawn Cemetery at Houston.Memorials may be made to the Tallahassee Senior Center, 1400 N. Monroe St., Tallahassee, Fla. 32303. “
