Kenneth Eugene Wilson, 81, son of Ray Leaonard and Frances Maillard Wilson, was born April 21, 1923, at Beech Grove, Ind. He died Feb. 9, 2005, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.Mr. Wilson served in the U.S. Navy from 1941 until 1945. He was a jack-of-all trades and could master anything he set his mind to: building houses, model ships, weaving rugs, restoring a 150-year-old buggy, Ford Model T, Austin Healey, Harley Davidson or building a log cabin.He loved to tell tall tales, a good joke and playing pranks.He was preceded in death by his parents; older brother, Robert; sisters, Mary Jane, Susan Jean and Ruth; and a daughter, Marie Sue.Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Frances; children, Diana Tottingham, James Wilson, Donald Wilson, Steve Wilson and Mandi Cole of Houston and April Wilson of St. Louis; sister, Frances West of Cabool; brother, Ray Wilson of Cabool; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.Services were Feb. 12 at the Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home Chapel in Cabool with the Rev. Orval Gayer officiating. Burial was in the Cabool Cemetery.Memorials may be made to the Leader Dogs for the Blind. “
