MARCIA PHILLIPS

Marcia Ann Phillips, 69, daughter of John Mark and Idel Sherman Hoover, was born Dec. 26, 1935, at Butler. She died Feb. 16, 2005, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.Mrs. Phillips worked with her son at Sonic in Houston until her retirement. She enjoyed painting and spending time with her grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cecil Phillips; and a brother, Mark Hoover.Surviving are three sons, Cecil Phillips and Eddie Phillips of Houston and Randy Phillips of Kansas City; one stepson, Travis Phillips of Houston; three brothers, Clyde Hoover of Deer Trail, Colo., RC Hoover of El Dorado Springs and Gary Hoover of Independence; and 11 grandchildren.Memorial services were Feb. 21 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Hamilton officiating.Memorials made be made to St. John’s Cancer Center. “
