Leslie Allen Strain, 52, son of Clinton Strain and Juanita Ellerman Files, was born Feb. 14, 1953, at Laramie, Wyo. He died March 22, 2005, at St. Francis Hospital at Mountain View.Mr. Strain was raised by his grandparents, Frank and Laura Stevens at Eminence. He graduated in 1971 from Eminence High School.For many years, he was a member of the Summersville Fire and Rescue, where was a trained First Responder. He worked for Harper’s Sawmill for several years. Each summer, he hauled canoes for Carr’s.Mr. Strain was an avid hunter and enjoyed deer and turkey seasons. He loved to hunt and camp with friends and go fishing with his daughter and her husband.He was a member of the First Christian Church of Eminence.He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father.Surviving are his daughter, Brandi Crider of Birch Tree; his mother of Annapolis; three brothers, Frankie Strain of Chanute, Kan., Danny Files and Claude Files of Annapolis; two sisters, Brenda Hawkins of Salem and Sheila Horn of Farmington; and two special aunts, Charlene Plowman and Maxine Fry.Services were March 24 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel at Summersville with the Rev. Grady Todd officiating. Burial was in the Summers Cemetery near Eminence. “
