Boyd Wilber Benjaman “”Bud”” Barton, 90, son of Benjaman Barton and Rae Blackburn Barton, was born Jan. 12, 1915, at Alley Spring. He died March 16, 2005, at Brook Haven Healthcare at West Plains.He married Sylvia Higby Feb. 14, 1946. They had four children and were married 47 years before her death in 1993.Mr. Barton was a farmer, loving farm life and his animals. He stayed on the family farm as long as his health permitted.In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Twyla; three brothers, Wayne, Harold and Norman; and twin great-granddaughters.Surviving are three children, Tim Barton of Brighton, Kenny Barton of Pomona and Yvonne Young of Summersville; one sister, Cleta Shaw of Tillamook, Ore.; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.Services were March 19 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel in Summersville with the Rev. Albert Steelman officiating. Burial was in the Summersville City Cemetery. “
