Catherine Fay Melton, 72, daughter of Lee Thomas Tabor and Nellie May McBride Tabor, was born Dec. 1, 1932, in Douglas County. She died March 27, 2005.She married James E. Melton Feb. 24, 1951, at Mountain View. They had three children.Mrs. Melton was employed by Whitaker Cable in North Kansas City for many years.She was of the Baptist faith.Mrs. Melton was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond Lee and Billy Joe Tabor; and a great-granddaughter.Surviving are her husband of Bucyrus; son, James Lee Melton of Riverside; daughters, Bonnie Herriott of Wickliffe, Ky., and Linda King of Kansas City; brothers, Bob Tabor of Evansville, Ind., Clifford Tabor of Mountain View and Carl Tabor of West Plains; sisters, Edna Phelps of Mountain View, Bennie Baumgarth of Cedar Hill and Hazel Easky of St. Clair; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.Services are 11 o’clock today (Thursday) at the Willow Funeral Home Chapel with burial at the Willow Springs City Cemetery. Johnny MorganGraveside services under the direction of Evans Funeral Home are 2 o’clock Friday at the Greenmore Memorial Garden at Barnett.Mr. Morgan, 52, died Monday at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.Visitation is 6 to 8 o’clock tonight (Thursday) at the Evans chapel.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Johnny Ray Morgan Fund. “
