Charles A. Glickert, 82, son of Carl and Caroline Tillman Glickert, was born May 12, 1922, at St. Louis. He died March 13, 2005, at Licking Park Manor.He joined the U.S. Army March 27, 1944, and was discharged April 27, 1946. He received the World War II Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.Mr. Glickert was a carpenter and enjoyed working with wood, making items for friends and family.He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, William White; one sister, Marie Vickers; and one grandson.Surviving are his daughter, Carol Scantlin of Licking; one sister, Theresa Creasey; one brother, George Glickert; three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.Services were March 15 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Gibson officiating. Burial was in the Boone Creek Cemetery. “
