James Dale Sillyman, 60, son of Walter Glen Sillyman and Elsie McBride Sillyman, was born Dec. 19, 1944, at Houston. He died March 5, 2005, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.He grew up in Texas County and graduated from Houston High School in 1962.He married Carolyn Pritchett of Willow Springs Sept. 27, 1962, at Houston.Mr. Sillyman was a farmer in Iowa for many years. He also worked at the school at Zearing, Iowa, until his three sons graduated. The Sillymans moved back to Houston in 1998.He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, tinkering with cars, working on his lawn and playing cards.He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.Surviving are his wife of 42 years; three sons, Steve of Grand Junction, Iowa, and Darrell and Brian of Houston; two sisters, Anna Belle Ward and Vera Epperson of Houston; four brothers, Delmar of Willow Springs, Jerry of Cabool, Doyle of Houston and Keith of Fair Grove; and seven grandchildren.Services were March 8 at the Assembly of God in Houston with the Rev. Wesley Wallace officiating. Burial was in the Emery Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home of Houston. “
