Lee Roy Williams, 58, son of Duel and Etnia Nelson Williams, was born Jan. 22, 1947, at Montauk. He died March 3, 2005, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.He grew up in the Licking area and joined the U.S. Army June 23, 1966. He was discharged April 2, 1968, after serving in Vietnam. He received the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the Sharpshooter Badge, M-16.He was a master plumber for 34 years.He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Sharon York and Rhonda Williams; four brothers, Lloyd, Everett, Melvin and Arthur; one sister, Hazel Williams, and three grandchildren.Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Colgan of Rolla and Brandy Williams of Licking; four sons, Lee Williams Jr. of Washington state, Justin Williams of Licking, Travis Bartimus of Springfield and Shane Bartimus of Virginia; one brother, Ernest Williams; two sisters, Lois Gorman and Darlene Silva of Montauk; and many grandchildren.Graveside services were March 7 at the Mount Olive Cemetery with Everett Perkins officiating under the direction of Evans Funeral Home of Houston. “
