Benjamin F. “”Jack”” Canterbury, 63, son of Bennie F. and Fern Wensenk Canterbury, was born Nov. 9, 1941, at Cabool. He died April 1, 2005, at Lester E. Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.He married Virginia Grogan Nov. 10, 1962. They had four children.Mr. Canterbury was a bulldozer operator for his father and others for many years. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and camping.He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Betty Rose; and one son, Michael Canterbury.Surviving are his son, Jeff Canterbury of Licking; daughters, Pam Kellner of Jefferson City and Sherry Canterbury of Houston; one brother, Jerry Canterbury of Eufaula, Okla.; seven sisters, Ann Bosewell of Keytesville, Mary Sue Howell of Springfield, Loretta Canterbury of Bucyrus, Brenda Garrett of Bethany, Rena Byrd and Shirley Nash of Ozark and Carol Turner of Success; two stepsisters, Louise McAlaster of Battlefield and Linda Sullins of Licking; stepbrother, Floyd Carter of Springdale, Ark.; stepmother, Mary Canterbury of Bucyrus; seven grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.Graveside services were April 4 at the Cabool Cemetery with David Gidcumb officiating under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool. “
